The Dundas Medal – a joint Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and PATCH award

The closing date for the second annual Dundas Medal, in honour of Dr Bertie Dundas, is the 4th July 2018.

The award recognises efforts to improve the provision of palliative care for patients when they are in hospital. It is open to individuals or teams (medical, nursing or paramedical) working in any hospital in the UK. It is not essential that the applicant should be an FRCS Edinburgh. The term hospital applies to both acute and community hospitals.

The winner of the 2017 inaugural award was the Hospital Palliative Care Team, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
