Dundee Chamber Orchestra: A concert in aid of PATCH

In aid of PATCH, the Dundee Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Andy Evans, will be performing a concert playing composers such as Dvorak, Schubert and Elgar. Join us for wine, nibbles and great classical music!

About the event

The concert is the inspiration of Professor Andy Evans, who is Professor of Breast Imaging in Tayside. Like many doctors, Andy was torn between music and medicine as a career but has achieved distinction in both. He is now a distinguished player of the French Horn and a well known composer of classical music. He founded the Dundee Chamber Orchestra especially for this concert, which he will be conducting. Francesco Scattolin, who graduated in 1995 from the state conservatory of music “Agostino Steffani” in Veneto, Italy will lead the orchestra, and Andy’s identical twin, Simon Evans, who is also a doctor, will be the solo violinist in Dvorak’s Romance for violin and Orchestra op 11.

The Dundee Chamber Orchestra includes: 4 first violins, 5 second violins, 4 violas, 4 cellists, 2 Bass, 2 flute, 2 oboe/cor anglais, 2 clarinet, 2 bassoon, 2 horn and percussion.

We are honoured to have such a wonderful programme and such very eminent musicians.
