NHS Greater Glasgow: palliative care education partnerships
Ongoing programmePATCH-supported training in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, including a symptom management module, band 5 nurse courses, and practical education resources.
PATCH has partnered with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde on practical palliative education for staff in acute settings—including a structured six-day module on symptom assessment and management, and successive band 5 nurse courses after an initial successful programme.
The charity profile describes support for substantial cohort training in Greater Glasgow and Clyde—building confidence and consistency in symptom management across busy hospital wards.
PATCH has also helped the palliative education team with smaller resources such as branded torches for teaching (“shining a light” on palliative care)—small items that support visibility and learning on the ground.
